Biggest Big Ole Tomato in Pickens County Contest

Over the course of  eight weeks this summer, there has been a weekly winner announced at the Saturday Morning Farmers Market. Those winners are listed below.  The Pickens County Master Gardeners would like thank everyone who participated in the first annual Biggest Big Ole Tomato in Pickens County contest. The contest was a great success and lots of fun and we look forward to next summer's competition starting the first Saturday following July 4th.

2002 Big Tomato Winners

Ben Evans takes home the Big Tomato trophy and a 20 pound bag fertilizer for his efforts in producing the biggest tomato in Pickens County this summer.  His German Pink heirloom weighed a whopping 36.9 ounces.
